Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms set out the conditions and procedures for using the service provided by the operator (the “Operator”) of StockMentionMap (https://stockmentionmap.com, the “Service”), and the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the Operator and users.

Article 2 (Definitions)

• “User”: anyone who uses the Service under these Terms (including visitors who are not signed in)
• “Member”: a user who has created an account by signing in with a Google account
• “Mention data”: the number of ticker mentions, sources, original links and times automatically collected from public sources such as news, communities and filings, and the statistics, maps and summaries derived from them

Article 3 (Effect and amendment of the Terms)

1. These Terms take effect when posted on the Service (/terms). By using the Service or signing in, you are deemed to agree to these Terms.
2. The Operator may amend these Terms to the extent that doing so does not violate applicable laws. When amending them, the Operator will post the changes and the effective date on this page at least 7 days before they take effect (at least 30 days before for changes unfavorable to users).
3. If you do not agree to the amended Terms, you may stop using the Service and withdraw. If you continue to use the Service after the effective date, you are deemed to agree to the amended Terms.

Article 4 (Description of the Service)

The Service is an information service that collects how often US stock and cryptocurrency tickers are mentioned in public sources and shows this as treemaps, rankings, trends and so on. It is currently provided free of charge. Members can save their watchlist and display settings and, where offered, use watchlist alerts.

Article 5 (Not investment advice)

1. Everything shown by the Service is mention data and statistics provided for information purposes, and is not investment advice recommending or soliciting the purchase, sale or holding of any security. The Operator is not an investment adviser or a quasi-investment advisory business and does not provide investment judgments tailored to individual users.
2. A high number of mentions does not indicate a rise or fall in price or investment value. Price and return figures are also for reference only.
3. Users are solely responsible for their investment decisions and the results.

Article 6 (Accuracy of data)

1. Mention data is collected automatically from external sources and tickers are identified mechanically, so there may be omissions, duplicates, misidentifications (such as counting a word with another meaning as a ticker) and delays. Price information and automatic summaries (including AI summaries) may also be delayed or wrong.
2. The Operator does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for a particular purpose of the data.
3. The content and copyright of external sites that original links point to belong to their respective authors, and the Operator is not responsible for the content of external sites.

Article 7 (Changes to and suspension of the Service)

1. The Operator may change or discontinue all or part of the Service (including data sources, features and screens) as required for operational or technical reasons.
2. The Service may stop temporarily due to maintenance or failure of equipment, outages or policy changes of external sources or hosting services, natural disasters and the like.
3. If the entire Service is terminated, the Operator will announce it on the site at least 30 days in advance where possible, and after termination member information will be destroyed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

Article 8 (Member accounts)

1. Membership is available only by signing in with a Google account, and persons under the age of 14 may not become members.
2. Members must keep their Google account secure and must not use another person’s account or transfer their own account to another person.
3. Members may withdraw at any time via ‘Manage account → Security → Delete account’. On withdrawal, member information, watchlist and settings are deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy and cannot be restored.

Article 9 (User obligations and prohibited conduct)

Users must not:

• make automated requests or perform bulk collection (scraping) that places excessive load on the Service, or circumvent access restrictions or security measures;
• copy the Service’s data or screens in bulk and redistribute them or sell them commercially without the Operator’s consent;
• misuse another person’s account or personal information, or use the Service for unlawful purposes (such as market manipulation);
• interfere with the operation of the Service or cause harm to other users.

In case of violation, the Operator may block the user’s access or suspend or delete the account.

Article 10 (Intellectual property)

Rights to the Service’s screen design, software and processed statistics belong to the Operator. Users may share screens for personal, non-commercial purposes with attribution to StockMentionMap. Rights to original articles and posts belong to their respective authors.

Article 11 (Limitation of liability)

1. In connection with the Service, which is provided free of charge, the Operator is not liable for any loss incurred by users from investments, trades or other actions taken in reliance on the Service or its data.
2. The Operator is not liable for service failures or losses caused by natural disasters, outages of third parties such as external sources, hosting or authentication services, or causes attributable to the user.
3. However, the preceding paragraphs do not apply to losses caused by the Operator’s intent or gross negligence, or in other cases where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.

Article 12 (Governing law and jurisdiction)

These Terms and any dispute concerning the use of the Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If a lawsuit is filed over a dispute, the court having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act shall be the competent court.

Addendum

These Terms take effect on 2026-10-12. The Korean version of these Terms is the original; if there is any difference between it and a translation into another language, the Korean original prevails.
